Interactions
The Terraformers' Craft was flying above a waterfall, a feature of Earth when the first Terraformers arrived. A Terraformer was left on Earth in the film Prometheus, this Terraformer gave his life so life could begin. A form of ritual was preformed by the Terraformer and in seconds he started decomposing and finally he fell into the waterfall and was washed away with the melt water.
Continuity
In the film Prometheus, Jockeys are referred to as Engineers. The spacecraft leaves before the Terraformer consumed the black liquid.
Concept

Zeus and weapon/terraforming equipment were script references and Zeus is a reference for LV223. The sequence with the Terraformer consuming the black liquid at the start of the film on Earth was to show how Terraformers seeded life on other planets.
On-set

Coner O'Sullivan's team produced 10 full body cast prosthetics for the engineers, this included the Elders at the beginning of the film, as these actors didn't interact with the crew they weren't as tall as Ian Whyte, so actors Daniel James played the sacrificial engineer and Paddy O'Kane the elder. From here Weta Digital produced digital effects for the decaying sequence.
Production
MPC (Moving Picture Company) worked with Scott and Stammers on action sequences, the space travel shots and shots of the planet's atmosphere with cloud formations and electrical storms adding Prometheus' landing sequence, including the crash of the USCSS Prometheus and the Derelict as it sets off for Earth.
