Name
Skeeter, in service with the U.S.C.M.'s.
Description
A Skeeter is a tactical support projectile capable of being fired and locking on to a target, this targeted shot then releases a plasma shot when in range of the target distroying the target. Once a target is acquired the Skeeter will track it until it is capable of releasing it's plasma projectile, if a target is acquired but evades, or the projectile has not acquired a target it will self destruct after a few seconds.
Construction
Made from an alloy the Skeeter is in a standard missile firing configuration. It has a targeter equipped with zoom on one side and launch projectile which fits into the firing tube, this is a disc of 'alloy composite' which after firing and acquired a target is superheated into a plasma.
Tactical Uses
A fast rate of load makes for a prefered weapon used in tactical support. In tactical combat situations the Skeeter remains versatile producing a better balance of rate of fire to stopping capability to reloading but is limited in projectiles carried and available supplies.
