Name[]

Service Skiffs are spacecrafts in service with the U.S.C.M.s. They are brought along with the USS Sephora as they arrive around LV426 and are also aboard the USS Sulaco. These are used for scouting the USS Sulaco on arrival, holding forward boarding groups reconning and setting up linking umbilicals.

Other craft[]

W-Y FTL

UD4L Cheyenne
USS Sulaco
USS Sephora

Interactions[]

These spacecrafts appear as the USS Sephora arrives along side the USS Sulaco and link the two spacecrafts together. Once connected forward boarding parties part of Rhino 2-3 search for survivors before Actual squad board with Winter and O'Neal.

In the level Stasis Interrupted Hicks and Stone use a Service Skiff to escape the Sulaco and journey to Fury 161 were they arrive just as Ellen Ripley is about to fall into the furnace killing herself and the emerging chest burster.

Continuity[]

Service Skiffs are maneuverable and are capable of making short journeys in space. These are capable of connecting directly with outer hatches of spacecrafts allowing boarding parties access. They appear and are used in the opening sequence and in the level Distress and by Hicks and Stone in the level Stasis Interrupted.

In the level Stasis Interrupted both Hicks and Stone use a Service Skiff from the Sulaco and fly the spacecraft for Fury 161, this is contrary with the films were the USS Sulaco appears and in film Aliens after the UD4L Cheyenne crashes on the surface it is suggested that the only way off the surface is by using the second UD4L Cheyenne.

These spacecrafts were added into gameplay in Aliens: Colonial Marines so that it linked into both films showing that Ripley survived from the EEV jettison on Fury. There is no gameplay on the surface but a map appears.as part of Movie Map pack.

Timeline[]

The events of the game Aliens: Colonial Marines are set between those of the films Aliens and Alien 3 but diverge from the film Aliens and over lap the film Alien 3.
