Raven is an Alien on LV426 from the Aliens: Colonial Marines campaigns.
This alien is similiar to a Xeno Soldier a group of Aliens unique to the Aliens: Colonial Marines campaigns that appear on LV426. A Raven has a disfigured face with a mutated spine on it's head. This Alien could be one of the few surviving Xenos left on LV426 after the Atmosphere Processor detonation in the film Aliens.
The aliens in the game Aliens: Colonial Marines feature a new 'Evolved' alien cycle, this allows for new hybrids and a way of avoiding a 1 egg equals 1 alien principal. During gameplay a lower ranking Alien can 'Evolve' from a Xeno Lurker/Xeno Soldier to a Crusher or Queen.

A Raven appears at the beginning of the level The Raven, Winter at the end of the level No Hope in Hadley's was captured by a large Xeno and cocooned in the lower areas under Hadley's Hope, at the beginning of the level Winter needs to escape and as he does a Raven attempts to recapture him. As winter enters the sewers the Raven no longer follows but now the Xeno Boilers are attacking.
The Raven appears later in the level The Raven, Winter powers up a Power Loader and battles against it and needing to win to continue the level.

A Raven only appears in the Aliens: Colonial Marines campaigns.
Raven that appears in singleplayer has a similarity with Cataphractus an alternative choice for a Xeno Lurker in multiplayer.
Because Hadley's Hope installation in most survived the detonation and it's sewers survived it has been speculated that the alien survived the blast there along with the Xeno Boilers which mostly appear in the sewers.
