Ford is Prometheus' Medical and First Officer aboard ship in the film Prometheus.
Ford is responsible for the crew's well being aboard Prometheus whilst on LV223, and monitoring the crew after they emerge from stasis.

Ford is amongst the group that explores the Alien Temple when they first land on LV223 and again to rescue Millburn and Fifield after the storm.
Ford and Shaw quickly collect the Terraformer's Biomask at the entrance to Ampule Room as the storm moves in, later in the Med Lab she with help from Shaw and David examine the Terraformer's Biomask that they found in the Alien Temple.
When Weyland appears and with his request they journey back into the Alien Temple with David, Shaw, Jackson, Ford and Weyland. There they raise a Terraformer from stasis, and when they try to communicate, the Terraformer sets about killing them leaving only Shaw a chance of escaping.
