Empress is a large alien which appears on LV1201 in the game Aliens v Predator 2, larger than a queen alien she dominates a hive.
In the Alien's missions in Aliens v Predator 2 the alien is required to find and release the Empress from Eisenberg's and Rykov's plan for controlling the xenomorphs.

Similiar to a Queen and Praetorian, with the addition of pair of straight spines that flank the three spines of a queen's carapace.

Dr. Eisenberg has taken advantage of the Marines arrival to initiate the 'Large Mass Specimen Extraction', a project to capture the Empress. As part of the plan combat synthetics have wired explosive charges throughout the tunnels of the alien Hive. After leaving the Pods, armed with this information, the Warrior must disable these explosives as it tracks the Empress.
The Empress is successfully captured but the Warrior pursues her captors, including Eisenberg. It tracks them through an archaeological site, killing guards, civilians and Iron Bears mercenaries, to a dropship landing pad. It kills two Predators and sabotages the pad's support machinery, causing the dropship to crash. Furious, Eisenberg attacks the Warrior, directly. When the alien incapacitates him, the game ends.
Continuity[]
Empress is a later stage in the xenomorph life cycle not specifically stated. When a hive expands to the point of having multiple queens that dwell in it, the "Empress" is the queen that the subsequent queens had spawned from, making the Empress the "queen of queens."
The Empress appears in the levels Vengeance, Abduction, Pursuit, Freedom and Saviour. She is captured in the level Vengeance and held in the alien hive, set for the USS Verloc. The Empress is freed in Alien gameplay in the level Freedom, the alien then incapacitates Eisenberg, later Eisenberg is cocooned in the alien hive. A cutscene in the game reveals that Eisenberg (in his current incarnation) is an android, created by the real Dr. Eisenberg’s father.
