Barnes shares a drink with Holloway and David in the Mess Hall when David gives Holloway some of the DNA from an urn.
Later Barnes is in the Cargo Bay when Vickers burns Holloway as he returns from the Alien Temple, and again when a mutated Fifield returns, he opens the Cargo Bay's door and as he does Ray is the first to killed by Fifield followed by Wallace, Taplow and then Vladimir.
