The black liquid had been categorized by Weyland-Yutani giving it the designation A0-3959x.91 – 15.
Description[]
The liquid is contained in Urns under controlled conditions, a typical urn contains four Ampules which then is suspended in a fluid inside an urn.

David used a quantity of the liquid from an Ampule and although clear in the container it became darker and stayed dark when he gave Holloway a drink with a drop of the liquid.
Deployment[]
Although in the Ampule Room the Urns and the liquid it contains are kept a small distance apart under a controlled environment, in the Hibernation Room urns are stacked in rows and aren't affected by changes in atmospheric conditions.
Continuity[]
The liquid in the Ampules is clear with the fluid surrounding it being noticeably more murky and viscous.
